About Me

Rooted in connection. Forward in motion.

I'm a licensed therapist and life transitions coach who believes that knowing yourself is the foundation for everything else — every relationship, every pivot, every new chapter.

My work is grounded in the belief that we don't need to fix what's broken so much as understand what's unfolding — and lean into the strengths, experiences, and wisdom we already carry. Coaching with me is shame-free, strength-based, and grounded in deep respect for your lived experience.

I'm drawn to the in-between places: the moment just after a door closes, the quiet before something begins, the threshold itself. That space deserves care and skilled company — and that's what I offer.

Outside of my work, I practice relational attunement in everyday ways — as a partner, parent, and grandparent. I'm also engaged in the ongoing therapeutic task of helping my cats and chickens coexist.

Coaching vs. Therapy

Two different rooms. Both important.

Therapy and coaching are related — but they're not the same.

Therapy creates space for healing, repair, and deeper integration of the experiences that have shaped us. Coaching also honors where you've been, but its primary focus is on where you're going. It draws on your history, your values, and your self-understanding to help you build what's next.

My coaching work is not designed to replace the depth, safety, and clinical support of trauma therapy. It's for someone who feels ready to move — and wants a skilled, warm guide for the journey.

What my clinical background adds

As a licensed therapist, I bring a trained clinical eye to every coaching relationship — not to do therapy, but to ensure you're always getting the right level of support. If deeper therapeutic work emerges, I'll help you navigate that transition with care — whether that means continuing coaching alongside therapy, taking a break from coaching so therapy can commence, or adjusting the path entirely.

My Approach

Growth rooted in the
knowledge of self.

I work from the belief that you already carry what you need. My role is to help you recognize it, trust it, and use it to move toward the life you actually want — not the one that was handed to you, expected of you, or you defaulted into.

Coaching here is direct without being harsh, warm without being soft, and honest because you deserve honesty. We'll move at the pace your life actually moves — with room for the messy middle and a clear sense of where you're heading.

You don't have to have it figured out to begin. You just have to be willing to show up.

"Growth here is not about becoming someone else — it is about owning who you already are, flaws and all, and leaning into the strengths and experiences that are yours."

Land Acknowledgement

Rooted Connections, Dancing Sage Healing Arts, and our family live and work in the Black Forest area of Colorado Springs, in the Pikes Peak region. We acknowledge that this land is part of the ancestral homelands and unceded territory of the Ute Peoples, including the Southern Ute, Ute Mountain Ute, and Northern Ute. We also recognize the Apache, Arapaho, Cheyenne, Comanche, Kiowa, and other Indigenous Peoples with historical and continuing relationships to this land.

This acknowledgement is not meant to be a finished statement or a simple gesture. It is a commitment to relationship, repair, and responsibility.

Our family came to this land in 2007 during a season of our own rebuilding. The Black Forest Fire came across our landscape in 2013 burning 14,280 ponderosa pine filled acres and almost 500 homes. Five of those acres and one of those homes is where our family had rooted ourselves for just over six years. Following the devastation, we chose to return and tend this place with care. Since then, the land has been teaching us about loss, renewal, patience, and perseverance. We are learning to listen to its pace: allowing native vegetation to return, planting with care, protecting new growth, using water thoughtfully, and creating paths that let people move gently through the land without harming what is still becoming.

Because our businesses are rooted here — in therapy, coaching, and creative healing arts — we understand this land not only as the place where we work, but as a living participant in the healing that happens here. We are committed to honoring that relationship through ongoing stewardship, community care, financial contribution, and, where welcomed and appropriate, land-sharing with the original peoples and descendants of the peoples who have walked, loved, and stewarded this place long before us.

We offer this acknowledgement as a beginning: a promise to keep learning, to seek relationship over performance, and to let gratitude become action.
