Connection Calls are free, unhurried, and a real conversation — not a sales pitch. Let's see if we're a good fit.
We'll begin with a free 20–30 minute Connection Call by phone, video, or, if you're in the Springs, in person. We'll talk about what's moving in your life, how coaching works, and whether this feels like a good fit. No commitment, no pressure — just an honest conversation.
Before our first full session, I'll send a few forms and reflective questions so I can begin to understand who you are, what brings you here, and the journey you've already been on. This helps us use our time well and gives you a chance to begin gathering your thoughts before we meet.
In the beginning, I'll ask a lot of questions. This part of coaching may feel more reflective as we talk about where you've been, what has shaped you, where you've met with success, what keeps getting in the way, and what is asking for attention now.
We may use optional assessments, values exercises, reflection tools, or other practices for self-discovery. The goal is not to diagnose or pathologize you. The goal is to map the terrain clearly enough that we know where to begin.
As the work becomes clearer, we'll begin setting goals and choosing meaningful next steps. This is where insight turns into movement. We'll identify what you want to practice, change, build, communicate, decide, or try — and we'll make the steps realistic enough to fit your actual life.
Over time, we'll look at what is changing and how to carry that change into your daily life. We'll work on maintaining new habits, strengthening self-trust, practicing new ways of being, and noticing what support you need to keep moving forward after the initial momentum fades.
I do not require packages upfront, because I do not want anyone to feel stuck. Coaching happens session by session, at a pace that works for your life — often every 1–2 weeks. We'll talk together about structure as we learn what you need.
Coaching sessions are $130 per 60-minute session. When a longer or shorter session is appropriate, we'll adjust the fee proportionally and talk about that clearly ahead of time. Connection Calls are always free.
Most reflection tools and exercises are included. Occasionally, an optional assessment may have an additional cost, which we will discuss before you choose to use it.
I believe clear pricing is part of creating a respectful, transparent relationship from the beginning. You are not required to purchase a package or commit to a set number of sessions upfront. We'll work session by session and continue only as long as the work feels useful and aligned.
I'll tell you what I'm noticing. I won't simply reflect your words back to you — I'll offer perspective, ask thoughtful questions, and help you notice patterns that may be hard to see from the inside.
This work is relational. You'll feel that. I bring genuine curiosity and care to every session — and a healthy sense of humor about the absurdity of being human.
My training as a therapist helps me stay attuned to what may need deeper support, while keeping our coaching work focused on clarity, growth, and forward movement. If therapy or another kind of care would better serve you, we'll name that together with honesty and care.

No. Coaching is not therapy, and I will not be functioning as your therapist. However, because I am a licensed therapist, I bring clinical awareness to our work. That means I am attuned to when something may need a different kind of support, and we will talk about that openly if it comes up.
No. Coaching is not limited by state licensing in the same way therapy is. I work with coaching clients across the globe by video. For clients in the Colorado Springs area, in-person sessions are available.
Yes. I work with individuals, partners, co-parents, and other relational pairs who want support communicating more clearly, making decisions, navigating change, or moving forward with more respect and steadiness.
Before our first session, I'll send intake forms and reflective questions — and I'll be upfront that they're more thorough than you might expect. That's intentional. The process of filling them out is itself the beginning of the work. I've designed them to help you start noticing what's present, what has shaped this moment, and what you're bringing into the room — so that by the time we sit down together, you've already begun. In our first session, we'll build on that foundation: mapping the terrain, finding where the energy is, and deciding where to start.
Yes. I often find assessments to be a meaningful part of the coaching process. The right assessment can offer language, insight, and a new angle of understanding — for you and for me — as we explore your patterns, strengths, values, needs, and next steps.
Many of the assessments and reflection tools I use are available at no additional cost. Some more specialized assessments have separate fees, and we will always discuss that clearly before deciding whether to use them.
It varies. Some people work with me for a few months through a specific transition. Others continue longer as life keeps moving and new layers emerge. We'll talk together about what makes sense for you, and you are never locked into a package or long-term commitment.
No. Coaching is not health care and is not covered by insurance. Coaching sessions are private pay. I believe in clear, transparent pricing, and session fees are listed above so you can make an informed choice before reaching out.
We'll name that together. If therapy or another form of care would better support you, I'll talk with you honestly about your options. That might mean finding a therapist, continuing coaching alongside therapy when appropriate, or adjusting the focus of our work. You will not be left without a path forward.
"You don't have to have it figured out to begin.— Katharine Zink
You just have to be willing to show up."
